Kevin
I have been an architect for 14 years. I am licensed in the US, with projects in Costa Rica and across the western US.
I’ve designed all kinds of spaces. From Houses to Hotels, from Concert Halls and Art galleries to Schools. Homes are still my favorite.
My career has been fortunate and diverse. I’ve earned trust and carried responsibility, working on hundreds of residential and commercial projects, independently and with teams.
Design Philosophy:

I believe in listening more than & before speaking. I Listen to clients, to nature, to experience and to intuition. I keep an open mind and always remember spaces are for real, unique humans.

I am intentionally pragmatic. My ideas stay grounded. I am comfortable with constraints; environmental, timeline, budget or otherwise. We can always build a framework to achieve authentic beauty, whatever the constraints.

I create & work with humility and intention. I create with respect to my clients, the environment, and building traditions. If design is a way of communicating feeling, I want spaces I create to express intention and positivity.

I was raised near Seattle, Washington USA. I’ve travelled, lived & worked in almost every climate in the world. I love the sun, the rain and prefer spending most of my time in nature. I am happily based in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica, which I first fell in love with 20 years ago.
